Conference Speakers
R.C. Sproul Jr., is the founder, chairman and teacher of Highlands Ministries. Dr. Sproul is a graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary and Grove City College, and holds a doctorate of Ministries from Whitefield Theological Seminary. He has written or edited 12 books. He is a regular columnist for Homeschooling Today and Family Reformation magazines, and has also written for World magazine, and for the Covenant Syndicate. An ordained pastor in the Confederation of Reformed Evangelical Churches, he serves on the session and as pulpit supply for Saint Peter Presbyterian Church, the church he founded in 1997. His principal vocation though is as a husband to Denise and father to Darby, Campbell, Shannon, Delaney, Erin Claire, Maili, Reilly and Donovan.
Richard A. Jensen is the pastor of Hope Reformed Baptist Church in Medford, Long Island, New York. Pastor Jensen and his wife Ginger have been married for 45 years. They have seven children and nine grandchildren. Three of his children are adopted. He has been the pastor of Hope for 14 years. Hope Reformed Baptist is a confessional church holding to the 1689 London Baptist confession. Prior to being ordained into the gospel ministry, Pastor Jensen was in law enforcement. Currently, he is the headmaster of Grace Christian Academy in Merrick, New York, a classical, Christ-centered educational institution.
Burk Parsons serves as associate minister at Saint Andrew’s in Sanford, Florida, and he is editor of Tabletalk, the monthly magazine of Ligonier Ministries where he has served for ten years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in biblical studies from Trinity College and the Master of Divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary, where he is also completing his Doctor of Ministry degree. He speaks regularly at various conferences in the United States and abroad and has contributed to various books and journals. He is author of the forthcoming booklet Why Do We Have Creeds? (P&R, 2010). He is editor of the books Assured by God: Living in the Fullness of God’s Grace (P&R, 2006) and John Calvin: A Heart for Devotion, Doctrine, and Doxology (Reformation Trust, 2008). He and his wife, Amber, live in central Florida with their children.
Tom Ascol has been in pastoral ministry for 32 years, the last 24 at Grace Baptist Church in Cape Coral, FL. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University (BS) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDiv, PhD). He is the Executive Director of Founders Ministries and Editor of the Founders Journal. Tom has edited several books and has contributed numerous articles and chapters to other publications. Tom and his wife, Donna, have six children.
