“I don’t know where to start so I’ll just jump into it. I was traveling from state to state selling magazines when I found out I was pregnant. I was a little scared because my family and friends are in Florida and I was half way across the country. I lost my job a few weeks later and ended up with no money to get back to Florida. For about a week in a half I lived at a salvation army in Tulsa, Ok. I was beyond scared now but had to figure all this out. As I sat, looking at my life I realized this was not just about me anymore. I talked to my mom and mentioned adoption, which to me seemed obvious. My mom contacted Embraced by Grace Adoption Agency and within two days they got in contact with me and got me back to Florida. From the time EBG contacted me and I arrived in Florida I knew I would be just fine! EBG worked with me to make me comfortable. I had a place to live, my first place. Food in “our: bellies, they got me to my doctor’s appointments, and made sure I had what I needed. I could not have asked for a better group of people! I got to choose and meet with a few couples that wanted to adopt. It was apparent right away after meeting the family that they were the forever family for my baby. Once that was done I felt great! Then came the big day. When I went to the hospital, my family couldn’t be there with me, so Cathy from EBG stayed with me. She is great!! It was Christmas Eve and she never left my side. I really think that she made all of this easier.  I delivered a beautiful baby girl, I visited her upstairs with her mom and dad. They looked so happy! I get pictures of their adorable family and letters about two times a year. Giving a gift like this is a great feeling!”
